Hi, Does anyone know what breed or mix or breeds Rufus might be? Thank you. =)

Rufus is a stray hound, large boned and heavily muscled. around 75#. Looking at pics of hounds on internet and cant seem to find any like him although his body is slightly like a blood hound but not his huge head. Any ideas would be helpful. Thank you

If you're REALLY curious, do what my Dad did, & order a DNA kit, off of eBay.
Look at me - do you see the Beagle, the Rottweiler, or Fox Terrier?

I see a large hound (likely Bloodhound), Rottweiler and GSD. Considering the popularity of Rottweiler/GSD mixes, my best guess would be 50% hound, 25% GSD, 25% Rottweiler.

Although... All breeds come from mixes of older breeds, so it could be that he just looks like a certain mix, but is completely unrelated.

His body type, coat (colour, pattern, length), tail carriage, head, etc... are not uncommon in several different breeds, so it's anyone's guess!

Look at the breeds that are common where he was born. If Bloodhounds are rare but Bluetick Coonhounds are everywhere, the hound in him is more likely the latter.

He looks highly mixed. It looks like he has Beagle, an unknown breed, and he has a hint of Rhodesian Ridgeback in the face. The loose skin around the neck, and the black saddle pattern remind me of a bloodhound. If he has bloodhound, one of his parents must have only had a very small hint of it. You can get DNA testing to find out what his mix is. Beautiful by the way.
